Feigh House
Avriel Shull
Irregular/asymmetrical-plan, Mid-Century Modern
This property occupies Lot 19 of the Christie's Thornhurst subdivision. Thornhurst was built between 1956 and 1971 with the majority of the houses designed by noted local architect Avriel Shull in the Mid-Century Modern style. Shull's houses feature post-and-beam construction, allowing large walls of picture windows between the load bearing posts and beams. The houses feature low profiles that fit well with the surrounding landscape. There are also seven non-contributing resources within the district, built or moved to the subdivision after Shull's death. The subdivision was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.
