Collins Park Hotel lies within a hotel square bounded by Washington Avenue on the west, 21st Street to the north, Park Avenue to the east, and 20th Street to the south. Seven of the buildings on the square have been neglected for more than 10 years standing vacant and more recently damaged by an arsonist fire. Damage was caused to the Collins Park Hotel amongst others.

This is a 3-story hotel in the Art Deco style with Streamlined Moderne influences built in 1939. The building is l in plan. The structural system is concrete block stucco. The foundation is spread footing. Exterior walls are stucco. The building has a flat with parapet roof. Currently the building is under construction and does not have any windows, just openings of where they used to be. The primary entryway is located on the southeast corner, inside the 'L' shape; set in a curved protruding one story mass with a parapet wall.
