Prominent stucco gable with pargeting (ornamental designs indented in the stucco). Decorative windows, chimney pots, bays, half-timbering, slate roof and stone chimneys are all indicative of the Tudor Revival style of architecture. Stone and wrought iron fence along street.

Historical Summary:

Graham, Anderson, Probst & White also designed the Wrigley Building, Merchandise Mart, Shedd Aquarium, and Civic Opera House in Chicago, among others. They were the largest architectural firm in the country during the first half of the 20th Century. This is their only known design in Oak Park.

Architectural Description:

This is a 2.5-story single-family residence in the Tudor Revival style built in 1927. The building is rectangular in plan. The structural system is masonry. The foundation is poured concrete. Exterior walls are original stone and original stucco. Half-timbered on second floor. The building has a hip roof clad in original slate and one gabled dormer. Large front-facing stucco gable. There is one center, exterior, stone chimney and one side left, exterior, stucco and stone chimney. Four chimneys includes third chimney at rear exterior of stucco and stone, and fourth chimney at rear slope of stone. Windows are original leaded, multi-light casements. 20-light, 12-light and diamond pane leaded casement windows, including art glass. There is a platform/stoop. Porch material is concrete and stone.
