White & Weber
Art Deco
The Oak Park Post Office at 901 Lake St was built in 1933 and designed by local architect White & Weber. It is a rare example of Art Deco architecture in Oak Park and features notable bronzework by Peterpaul Ott, the Chicago WPA supervisor of sculpture. The interior fetaures four murals done by J. Theodore Johnson that illustrate moments in local history.
