1034-1036 Lake St was surveyed as park of the 2005 Downtown Oak Park Architectural Survey. It was recorded as a structure of merit. The building appears to have been built ca. 1890 and altered/expanded in 1938 by the Pioneer Trust & Savings (architect Meye & Cook; builder Meyer & Stelzer). Additional office space was added in 1949. it appears to have been built at the same time as the addition to 1034 Lake St.
