Queen anne, Queen Anne
The Simon and Elizabeth Humphrey House No. 2 was likely built ca. 1887. The Humphreys purchased the parcel of land that now contains 2, 4, and 6 Elizabeth Court, as well as 250 Forest Avenue in 1872. They originally lived at 2 Elizabeth Court, which they sold in 1886 to the Hollisters and separately sold the property at Forest Avenue and Elizabeth Court to Paul Blatchford. A mortgage is recorded for the Humphreys at 4 Elizabeth Court in 1888, likely recorded well after the arrangement was made. (Source: Wright Plus researchers 2022, Cook County Recorders Office)
